The following is an example of an approved Adult Initial Dose Escalation Schedule for Semaglutide (Wegovy®, Ozempic®) and the prescription dose of you will receive when ordering the corresponding month:
ADULT Initial Dose Escalation Schedule:
- Weeks 1 - 4: 10 units (0.25 mg) subcutaneously once a week
- Weeks 5 - 8: 20 units (0.5 mg) subcutaneously once a week
- Weeks 9 - 12: 40 units (1 mg) subcutaneously once a week
- Weeks 13 - 16: 68 units (1.7 mg) subcutaneously once a week
- Week 17 and on - 70 - 75 units (1.75-1.87mg) subcutaneously once a week
